Anyone and everyone can sell you hardware. It's all the same. What makes the "secret sauce" so secret, is the tune. There are a lot of folks out there who claim they have a good tune. And I guess many do. But you want a tune that is right for your exact application...not a universal fit or one that's for a Mustang. Horrible. Next, you need to find someone who has a PROVEN record of customer service. Because no matter how good the tune, everyone is just a bit different and it's not unusual at all to have to tweak something here or there. So you need someone who has proven they will work with you. Not someone who just says they will and gets you a half assed tune a week later. So when it comes to a flash tune, it's hard to beat James. There are others out there that can also deliver, but his tunes are proven winners on Explorers and he's spent the time to develop his reputation. I would strongly consider it. He's an authorized vendor here.

James at Henson Performance www.hensonperformance.com is who you need to talk to. He will tell you everything you will need and how to do it.
He has done tunes for several members here.

A tune is not just plug & play. You will need a laptop or access to one to datalog with so James can program the tune.

k thanks

If you buy it from someone that doesn't tune explorers you need to buy the tune afterwards, a nother $50 min.

James includes the first tun I think (don't quote me)

That is correct. James includes one tune. If you get 3 tunes (89 oct, 91oct & mileage) at the same time you will get a discounted cost on the tunes as apposed to getting them separate later.

Make sure you tell James that you are member of Explorer Forums.

didn't I say "don't" quote me? damnit :p:

k i have alreayd talked with him once and he told me if i get my intake and exhaust from him he'll give me a good deal on other tunes.

actually if you get all that stuff from him, he'll make new tunes for all the new stuff when you upgrade for free. He did it for me.

James will work the best bottom line deal for you and support the deal better than anyone out there.

Yup, James is da man. I was sad to see Doug fade away, but at least us Exploder owners are still in good hands.

Apten->Bama->Henson.

Seems like James will be around for a while, don't it? :D
