Seat Compatability

My main explorer is a 94 sport. The donor is a 92 EB four door. The interior from the EB is fantastic. Can four door seats transfer into a sport without major mods?

I figure the front seats from the four door will have less movement than the sport seats and I’m not sure if a 60/40 bench will swap into a sport (currently 50/50 bench).

i feel like in the 2nd gen at least the 5050 bench was not as wide as the 6040 bench, so it may not make it all the way? maybe measure em howveer

I know the back seat will not I had a 91 sport wanted a beautiful set of red leathers out of a 2nd or it might of even been a 1st gen 4dr bolts in the frame didn't match. It sucked cause I had manual seats. I now know the way of the cushion which is a piece of cake. 4 tabs and boom it comes off. It just doesn't work on the back seats.

2 Dr and 4 Dr rear seats are completely different.

Front seats will interchange just fine from '92- 01. Just keep the passenger sport frame rails so you retain the slide forward access feature.

'91 has a different floor mount
