I have a 2001 sport with powerseat on the driver side and I want to lower the seat height but all it will do is lower the back half. Am I doing anything wrong? I want the seat to be lower but on the same angle as it was. It ends up being way to angled.

Well that sucks. :thumbdwn:

I thought that the joy stick style control lowered the entire seat, while the two, 2 button ones raised and lowered the front and rear, respectively?

Yeah, like stated above the joystick switch should lower the front and rear even. Does the separate front level switch work?

You have to keep playing with the joystick and the 2 other buttons to get it where you want it. The joystick does move the mechanism up/down but in relation to where the other two buttons have the seat positioned. If you can get the two other buttons to put the seat in a level position in relation to the floor then the joystick will move it straight up/down.

On a side note: I once had the seat perfect in my Mustang and then a mechanic moved it all around...still trying to find that "sweetspot" again. The Explorer's driving position is more comfortable than the Mustang's no matter what.

I only have one switch as far as I know. Its on the side and about 2 inches long by a half inch wide. Am I missing one?

My truck has 4 switches. 1 does up/down and forward backwards, 1 tilts the front of the seat, 1 tilts the rear of the seat, and one does the lumbar. Maybe there are different power seats.

The newer sports have 1 bigger handle that does all these functions, not separate switches. (except the lumbar)

sounds like you have either a bad switch or bad motor.
