Hi all,
I have a 95 Explorer XLT 4 door with ~240k miles on it and the driver's seat has finally given up. I have an opportunity to pick up front and rear seats from an 02 Explorer and want to swap them into the 95. Question is, are they a direct bolt in? If not, what's involved in getting them in? Can it be done relatively easily? Appreciate any input.
Thanks

i would say they will fit ...

Probably not a direct bolt in. They are different generations.

Been there, done that, different generation and definitely won't fit in front or back for an 4 door. You need 4 door seats from 95-01.

If you do go to the junkyard, check out my tip for testing/removing them also... :)

Thanks for the responses!

cran & mic, can you expand on why they won't fit?
Are any mods possible to make them work? I'm not opposed to minor mods (cutting, drilling, etc) but I don't have access to a welder so fabricating new mounts would be too much.
Could I swap the seat tracks?

joe, I saw your video when searching the forums on this topic, great tip!
