Secondary/Auxiliary Trans Filter

Hi guys, haven't posted in awhile.

Early this year I had replaced a transmission in my parents 05 Explorer. I came realize sometime after that there was an inline filter installed on the hose after the cooler.

I should have replaced this but I never got around to it.

Now it looks like they are going to keep it around for quite a while and seeing that it has a new reman in it I wanted to remove the inline filter and install a mount for a spin on filter in its place.


I searched and searched and I couldn't find anything on the 3rd gens for anyone thats installed a filter setup.

I know how they go on etc. as I had one on my old 92 years ago and currently have one on my 98 F250.

Was just wondering if any of you guys that do have one installed if you have any pictures so I can get a better idea on where to mount it and how much extra hose I'm gonna need.

since there were no replies I'm assuming nobody has put on a filter mount setup.

I did this last night, I'll show some pics on where I mounted the filter etc.
