I hate to make people think I'm anti-Ford's on here, I've owned 9 F250/excursions over the past 5 years, it's just frustrating to deal with a few of the issues, towing my Explorer to Moab for 8 hours without shutting the truck off at 70 mph and getting 12 mpg is the bomb, just was better in the good ol' days that fuel was $1.75, not 4.75, and that was 4-5 years ago.
Plus the warranty luck on the 6.0s is a pain.
In my opinion, if I was to do another Ford, I would consider a new from a dealer if I could manage to get every discount possible to purchase it around $40K for a nicely trimmed out truck. With the right incentives you can get pretty close to that deal (I'm talking a lariat, 4x4, crew similar to what Section and I drive). The incentive here would be your truck would now qualify for "lemon law" as well as you get a free loaner car when your vehicle is in the shop, used trucks don't apply to these terms.
My '06 has spent enough time in the shop that I think Ford would have taken it back twice now if I were the original owner. Each time I get it back I love it, and wouldn't drive anything else if it was handed to me (my ideal dream truck would be a crew F250 psd with about $30K in suspension, wheels/tires, audio, aftermarket turbo, engine mods, etc over anything else on the road).
