Well, I Finally found an SUV I truly love, my 2000 ford explorer 5.0 v8 awd eddie bauer edition! This truck hadn't run in over two years and after about $1200 and lots of aggravation, beer, and blood I finally got her started! Unfortunately my girlfriend noticed while i was driving a solid clunk or thunk from my RF tire while driving when i go down bumpy roads, nothing around corners or on smooth roads, just the bumpy country roads near my house, Any ideas? :salute:

Safely lift the front tires off the ground by the lower control arm front facing "hooks" and inspect.

Most clunks are usually caused by failed lower or upper ball joints, sway bar end links, or shocks.

thanks, yeah I'm going to be jacking it back up today to take a look, I'm hoping its just shocks because the old ones are so rusted they are going to have to be replaced anyway

Take a look at the exhaust system as well. Shake it around, and check the heat shields to see if anything has come loose.
