Setting the odometer to correct mileage

I have 99 Mountaineer with 70,000 miles. i just got a used gauge Cluster from an 01 Sport with 22,000 miles I want to set the 22,000 odometer to 70,000 miles How do I do that?

Help!!!!!

I'm not sure if you can do this.

In Calif, if you replace the odometer, you are supposed to put a sticker on the door jamb that tells the mileage at the time the original one was replaced. I think they allow you to do this because it isn't possible to alter most of them without causing damage.
 






hook it up to a drill and spin

and if its computer controlled, you are screwed
 






I believe they are, when I had my cluster out I seen no place to hook up a drill. 00 Xplorer
 






Ditto, it seems a bit high tech in there, the cluster is sealed and there are lots of electronic sensors on the back. I wouldn't chance it... I guess you will have to leave it as is.
