I'm guessing I need a new camshaft position sensor?
Here's the story:
Took the boat to the lake. Drive there was excellent. Truck ran great. 65 and 12 MPG with a slight headwind towing a 4500 lb boat and trailer.
After I got the boat out of the water I noticed the truck was idling VERY rough (running on 7 cylinders type rough) and there was a strong sulfur smell. No CEL light though. Drove about 1 mile and the CEL flashed 7 times. I pulled the codes and nothing was in the system. I turned off the ignition, turned it back on and the CEL remained on. I pulled the codes again and P0340 came up which seems to mean I need a new camshaft position sensor...
I finished the drive back home. It was rough. 6 MPH at 55 MPH. with slight tailwind. Made it fine other than that though.
