P0340 code - anything to do for preventive purpose?

I got engine light on last week and pulled code P0340 - camshaft position sensor circuit. I then cleared the code. Couple days passed and it hasn;t come back yet.

I know that a weak battery or fauty alternator may cause this plus some other causes. What should I do for preventive purpose such as clean the sensor etc.?

And where is exactly the sensor and the cirsuit located? Mine is 98 EB V8.

The sensor is located under the coil packs. Right where a small block Ford distributor would be.
