shackle bolt size

Hi all- quick question for ya...

What size are the bolts in the rear shackles on a '99 Explorer Sport? (Both the upper and lower bolts..)

1/2"? 9/16"? Other?

I'm thinking about making my own lift shackles (shouldn't be too hard to make the proper measurements..) but it'd be nice to know what size the bolts are so that I know A. What size hole to drill into the shackles and B. To make sure I have the proper sized bolts on hand in case I need to cut the originals out.
