Both should be just as good with the TT. The shackles are easier to install plus give you a better ride afterwards.

EDIT: I should clarify. Not any better than the stock ride but better than doing the AAL.

I have 4 door leafs + AAL + shackles and I think it rides pretty darn good. It is firm, especially in my short wheel base Sport, but the RS9000X's helped. I also hated the mono leaf that my truck had. I would probably start with shackles and then if you want more lift get the AAL's.
