For what application is the heavy duty spring method , on the 5r55e . There is an option for the modulator valve spring with my kit . What difference will it make with the heavy duty option , in the realm of it effecting other operations , and functions , of the transmission ?? OOps sorry ,, stupid question i must delete this post .
I have a TCC stuck off problem ,, and I also want a thermo blocker .
The second pan drop that i did , i re torqued the valve body bolts ,, and it improved performance big time with response , ( with no shuddering or grinding , and slow start up ) and the longer the time it took for the o.d. light to flash , but now the problem is back . I obtained upper and lower plate gaskets , tcc , epc, solenoid and a shift kit .
Its just that i was looking at this kit thing and all the stuff that i have to do , when all that i wanted it for was the thermo blocker . And im not going to drill and enlarge any orifice either !! . I just found out that it can cause more problems that are a thousand times worse . So , im just going to replace the 2 solenoids , throw in the thermo blocker , and reinstall with new gaskets , and thats it , that is all im going to do ,, its just a stupid clutch thing , and if it is stuck off ,, then good ! it can stay that way . I have already driven hundreds of miles with that thing flashing at me anyway !!! its just for fuel economy any way . wow big deal .for crying out loud its a v6 !! im gettin decent fuel anyway !! in two years this will the the third new filter , and 4 quarts of new fluid goin in there anyway .
Anyway im sorry for asking such stupid questions . i will try to delete this post .
