shift kit Question

I have a 92 explorer sport, what kit do i need to firm up my shifts. I know b&m makes a kit but do i have an electronic one or do i need to drop the trans pan, if so has anyone done it, please help

i put the b&m in my 1992 crown vic. it was essentially a bunch of modified fluid circuit plates and stiffer springs that all go into the valve body. you must drop the pan and remove the valve body but this is surprisingly easy to do. i'd rather do this than replace the bulbs behind my dash!! i've read elsewhere that the electronic kits are a bad thing because they boost line pressure the wrong way. i was really happy with the results. it was the $50 shift kit and i set it up for medium shifts. not too noticable around town but if you get on it the shifts are much firmer and faster.

thanks alot, i really want to try to do it myself, the though of hitting second gear and just blowing the tires off is so tempting
