Shifter bushing...please help!

The bolt that holds the shift lever to the stub cones out with lots of persuasion not easily like YouTube vids...once I have the bolt out the lever won't seperate...those videos feel misleading to me..what is the malfunction here? I've spent an hour just trying to get the shifter removed. Thank you!

How come when I tighten the nut on the other side of the bolt it doesn't want to just pop out? And once I do have the bolt removed the lever doesnt want to come off??

Just needed to pry the shifter up slowly. Pins looked in good shape thankfully because I wasn't able to pound them out. What kind of press would you use for that? I bent the new lower bushing around the pins. Thankfully it didn't break. It was able to bend just enough! Feels really great all put back together!
