So I put my Daystar 2" lift up front and it was pretty easy. Only thing a little hairy is when you compress springs upward with jack to get the nut threaded on, and your fingers are inside the wound up spring. I was like Oh hell.....

Im real happy with the lift but noticed it seems my shocks are too short to let both front and rear suspensions go to the end of their travel.

I saw some shocks in JC Whitney called Tuff Countrys, or Rough Countrys,1 & 3/8" piston which seems pretty heavy duty to me, but am wondering if any of you guys have them and do you like them.

Theyre only 32 bucks and you get the boots free. So for nitro charged shocks they seem like a good deal. Any input on these?

I've noticed the same thing with mine since the lift. Here's a free bump, I'll be subscribing :)

1-3/8 is huge for a shock....

(edit :i just looked them up and these will work...i like the rough country performance ....my opinion would be to get them....)

I ran the Rough Country shocks on my fullsize Bronco when I installed my 6 inch lift and put 35s on it. I never had a problem with them and they seemed to work really well.

Thanks. Called to order them (I love checks by phone , no money order charge, and NO surprise at the end of the month credit card charges).

Anyway, seems the nice lady at JC saw a part # for the rear shocks but told me the actual company would call me to see if they made shocks for the rear of my 91 EX ???????

So waiting again but Ill be glad when i got this stuff done I just got the brainstorm to go 4 wheelin down the Jersey shore, I remember years ago my ex wifes cousin let air out of his truck tires and wheeled 5 miles down the sand to go surf casting- Had a big bonfire an all Its pretty flat but the Army Corps bulldozes some dunes to prevent erosion so well see 20 years later.

Its funny I fixed this rig up just to have a beater for the winter, I sold an 01 Silverdado diesel which I more or less ruined the body using it in my roofing business, so I had no more 4wd, but doing the work on this little EX has been alot of fun (except the ra brackets) and Ive really takin a liking to this thing.

And to think i was going to sell it for 400 bucks, what a fool the kid was for not buying it, especially since I had a $1900 trans rebuild last year, heck the thing runs great and i got it looking good. Thanks for this site dudes!
