Today after work I put my ex in reverse and it started to roll backwards slowly(I was on a slight decline) before the trans caught in reverse. When It did catch it made a loud clunk and started to be rough and the O/D light started flashing. I put the ex back in park, turned it off, waited a moment and turned it back on. I than put in in reverse again it was perfectly fine. I did not have any problems for the 8 mile ride back to school. My question is should I be worried or was this a fluke? I checked the fluid and it was fine. In an earlier post I explained that my ex usually takes about 5-10 seconds to go into reverse, depending on how cold it is, but it goes relatively smoothly. I am just really hoping my trans is not gonna die soon
edit, its a 1996 4.0 with I believe the 4R55E trans with almost 160K on the clock
