I am going to use the signal output after the factory amp (60w approx) for the new Pioneer amp & sub.

I could just patch RCAs to it and plug it into the amp or even use the speaker level inputs, but I am afraid even the weak factory amp might provide too high an input for the Pioneer amp.

I phoned Pioneer and they couldn`t answer my question as to what the maximum allowable input wattage was for the RCAs or the speaker level input.

Should I just use a LOC and be done with it.

The amp I am using is a GM3300T

I personally would do the LOC behind the radio before the factory amp. The power into an amp through the rca is in DC and the speaker output is AC. So the more power wont make a difference

whats LOC?
