This one's real weird guys, I haven't got a clue what could be wrong or causing it. Its only happened twice now. Both times, the truck was just warming up, I was probably a mile down the road from where I'd been parked. I was going around 25-30 and coming to a stop sign. Start slowing down, get to around 10 mph, and this shuddering starts coming from the front end. It continues shuddering after I come to a full stop. It doesn't feel like its braking system related, it feels and sounds like the engine's starved and its about to die. It happened once tonight and the first time was about a month ago. If I hit the gas it'll go again and act fine.

I replaced the IAC valve about 5 weeks ago and disconnected the battery for 15 mins afterwards, so I can't imagine that its related to that. The battery is good so its not lacking juice. I've got a problem in the steering that has to be fixed soon also, but I don't think this is a related issue. Any ideas??

sounds like it could be a lack of vacuum problem

How would I check for that? Can you elaborate further? Thanks.

also consider TCC lockup... longshot but a lack of complete TCC lockup release could give you that. Not top of my list, but ON it.

ps. Might have someone check your brake lights as you stop... no (or erratic)brake on/off <boo> could affect lockup release and cause this.

What else would be on your list Glacier? How can I get this checked out without getting ripped off by a dealership or shop? I'm new to this area and don't have a mechanic here that I really trust yet.
