Side View Mirror Courtesy Lights

Hey guys, anyone out there know how to replace the side lights under the side view mirrors on the 2003 explorers? i wanna make em blue or some crap, but i don't know how to get in there! I tried taking a small screwdriver and maybe popping the protective glass, but to no avail. I didn't try hard enough though, cause the screwdriver was scratchin the plastic, and i dont wanna do that to my baby! Anyone, any idea? It would be a simple, but phat thing to do to my car. Thanks!

it should actually say in the user manual, if it doesnt.... do yourself a favor and get a chiltons or haynes repair manual.... it will say how to do it..... welcome to the site.......

i dont think they have a manual out for the new explorers yet.
ive heard that its hard to take apart without a lot of force and a butter knife.

i think the plastic cover pops off and you can pull the bulb out then
