Silver Lake runs this spring (Michigan or anyone close read this!)

If everyone is going on April 27th, I might be able to make it. Been talking to a bunch of guys with Big Broncos who might be interested also. I have both so I bring either or both depending whether my sons or wife or brother or whoever else comes with me.

I live in Sterling Hgts.

Thats cool, the more the better as we get closer we'll cover the details.

Hey guys, I am new to this board. 95xlt posted a reply on our michigan thread on the RPS board. I don't know what dates you guys have planned, but I have got some of my friends, and people from the RPS board going may 10-12. For anyone that hasn't gone, It is so much fun. I some pictures on my web site http://RngrRoc.20megsfree.com/ that I took last summer. I kinda skimmed over the old posts, and saw some people were not sure if they could make it. Let me just say if a Honda CRV can make it, anything can. I plan on going a whole lot, I am only like 2 1/2 hours away.

This is in respond to Board_2WD. The way I look at it is. If lets say, five vehicles go then five will leave one way or the other. I will do all I can to help a fellow wheeler. I am sure someone else would do the same. So don't worry about it you will be fine. By the way. I live in the Battle Creek area. If someone in the area is going we can caravan together. Or if you are from Ohio or Indiana or Illinois. chamberl@match.org

If you want to go other dates besides the ones I listed, let me know..also the more people you get to come...the better..lets see how many we can have come up. Last year the most I ever got was like 4 or 5.....this year should be a lot better.

What are the other dates? I think its gonna be too cold up there in April. I was there last year May 17-19 camping, and the first night we froze our a$$ off. Like I said, we are going May 10-12 if any of you guys are intrested.

Haven't planned any other dates yet because I go back to Illinois April 28th. I just wanted to get a few runs in before i had to leave and wanted to get a bunch of other guys to meet up so I could meet some other Michigan 4byers. I will be back a few times over the summer to go to the dunes. Not sure what dates yet.

Count me out on th later date...and count me in on the earlier one. The later date is the first Sat after my fiances 21st B-day (partay):chug: :chug: :chug: :chug:
I will definately be there on the first date though as long as it's still on.

So, I know its still early but has there been any general agreement on date(s) 6th, 27th or both?. Just wondering as im working nights on the 6th, so thats out.
tx.s, todd

I am going to shoot for the 6th, and I think it'll be easier to meet up at GVSU. How long do you anticipate being inside the park?

Eric

I'm going to start to compile a list of who is coming on what day. If you know for sure what day you want to go, please e-mail me your name, what you'll be taking off road, and where your from. Also let me know if you plan to meet up at my school just west of Grand Rapids or if you would rather meet us up at the dunes.
Also list other equipment you have for offroading (tow hooks, tow strap, CB, etc... just so I can get an idea of what we'll have if we have trouble. ALso if you have friends bringing trucks list them also, just so i know how many trucks to expect.
Thank you!
Also if you have AOL instant messager, if you include your IM name then I can contact you of updates that way also.

Well the park is open from 9-9. if we meet at GVSU at 9, we'll get to the park a little after 10 and then wheel till say noon..then get some food, then wheel until everyone is ready to stop...

Sounds good. I know some of these parks have weird hours.

Say, where did you mount your flag?

Eric

The flag gets mounted on the front. Depending on what year depends on where it goes...the guys at the 4X4 shop there know exactly where to mount and they have all the necessary hardware. It was $20 for the mast and $4.50 for the hardware to mount it.

Annual State Park Permit: $20
ORV Permit: $16
Flag: $25

Total: $61

Since these items are useable all year long, I may have to go more than once to bring the cost per trip down :).

So, what's the date? April 6th or 27th.

I can make it the 27th but not the 6th.
