Hey all... need a technical opinion. I put in the 9006 Silverstars in the LB's, and loved em so much (awesome white at night, but a cool purple-blue in the day, absolutely no yellow), I bought a set of 9005 (HB) for both the HB's AND the fogs. Why the fogs? because 1, it's not easy to find the fog reference for 03's, and 2, because it makes your fogs look really darn kewl. Question. I know some people put in the 9005 in their fogs, but is this a drain on that circuit (BTW, I changed the fog fuse to the HB rating). Anybody? Bueller?

I cant imagine that increasing the load by 10 watts is going to hurt anything. Only reports of useing 9005 for fogs I have read is that they dont last as long as the 9006 type.

so its possible to use 9005's in the spot for my 9006's?

borderchris- you really do need to beef up your sockets. have you noticed the VERY thin wire? been there, done that, sleep better at night for it. there's a way you can do it without cutting anything.

boominXplorer- yes. you really won't gain too much from a 9006 to 9005. a +30% bulb [sylvania Xtra vision or phlips high visibility] would/should make a noticeable diff.

hope this helps

I'm calling Sylvania tomorrow to see when/if they'll start making the H10 (9145).
So, what I'm reading here is that I can modify the 9005 for the factory fogs?
