Skipping, grinding noise

Hey everyone, im new to the site and bought an 02 xlt a few months ago. Ever since i got the car when i make turns there is a grinding/skipping noise that i think is coming from the tires. I had them rotated and aligned and its still there. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or know what it is?

My 02 did the same thing, turned out to be the rear wheel bearings. They were so bad you could jack the tire up off the ground and wobble the wheel around. Kinda scary if you think about it.
