I am wanting to get a set, but I need to know a good place to buy them. I called 4 Wheel Parts, the closest one to me is a half hour away, and they quoted me $550. Is it just me or are they trying to rip me a new one? I have not checked prices anywhere else, but I am not going to pay that much for them. I will go with Duff arms before SJ arms if that is an accurate price.

Try Offroad Wharehouse to. I have been going in to a few 4WP places and they say they will beat anyones price. There is a guy on this website who is selling a complete front 5.5 superlift kit for the same price if you don't mind superlift. His e-mail is below.

Yea. Good luck!

The Skyjacker radius arms sell for $500+. I bought a set and they are worth it. Pricey, yes but the fit and toughness of the Skyjackers make them worth every penny. We have installed Duff arms and Superlift arms, and now Skyjackers. The duff arms have many problems, including having to use the dual hoop for the shock mount, not worth it. Also they are not bent to clear the big tires. Both the Duff and Superlift arms were twice as hard to fit to the truck then the Skyjackers.

The Skyjackers are stout. and the tranny x member is a very good design. The fit cannot be beat. I would say they are worth the extra $200. I used the Skyjacker arms in conjunction with my Duff 3" VR lift and F-150 spring seats, for an approx 5" of lift, works perfect! Rides thirty times better then stock, plus they are bright red and they look cool!!! :)

I was looking at getting either the Superlift 5.5 or the Sky Jacker 6" lift. Judging by the way your talking, the Sky Jacker kit has better components. There is a guy out here in Virginia who said he would order, install the kit +Bilstien 5100 shocks for 1700.00. Thats a wow of a price. If I go 6 inches of lift, do I need to extend my drive shafts?

Hmmm good question. I'm not sure. My rear driveshaft was built after I did my lift. I think the front is okay, since I have a stocxk Explorer D shaft and a 5"lift.

Skyjacker is the best option, you will not be disappointed, they make Quality components.

You also need to think about how the rear is being lifted. For 6" on an Explorer I would just go spring over in the back. The you will also need to make sure that a drop pitman arm and brake lines are included i the lift.

If I had known then what I know now, I would have went with Skyjacker to begin with. Looks like I am going to go with the SJ radius arms! I will have to save my money though:mad: I get impatient when it comes to cool things with my Ex. Have any of you ever had issues with the SJ front axle drop brackets rubbing anything? I do not feel like typing all the words to describe the problem I am having with my Superlift, so click here please ! If not, I am going to switch the brackets to SJ brackets and be done with it.

No, I have the 6" skyjacker class II that has the extended radius arms. I have not had any problems with the drive shaft. Works AWESOME!! I was able to install the kit by myself in about 40hrs. (I am a novice mechanic with basic hand tools) A shop should be able to install in it 8 hrs. No one really sells the class II kit anymore, but if you call skyjacker, they will get you all the part #'s you need, then you can call some place like 4wheelparts and tell them to send you the kit. I have the rancho rs9000's, and the whole kit cost me like 1300 bucks. good luck!!

Thanks, I plan on doing it in about a month as soon as I save some pennies up.

Don't go wheelin' with the jeep-ers. They will get mad because your explorer will be able to way out perform thier jeeps, and they will never invite you back for more fun ( I know from experience). That is why I think this site was created, so we will have somone to go wheelin' with. The kit is well worth the money, and explorers look so much better (and more natural) with 33's.

If you need any help, feel free to e-mail.

Andy
