I'm replacing my clutch etc. in my 93 Ranger with M5OD tranny. I can't see how to put on the release bearing retaining spring. It seems just slightly to small a diameter to slip over the end of the slave cylinder.

I'm using a LUK Pro Gold clutch and slave, the slave looks identical to the original that is now out.

Also, am I supposed to pre-bleed the slave before assembly somehow?

In the pic above, there are two of the retaing springs, one came in the clutch box, and one in the slave box.

The small rubber O-ring came too. What is it for???

Okay, I got it on there. :) Still would like to know where the little O-ring goes, or if I maybe don't need it?
