I've always thought that was a rear main or other oil seal leak but after reading this thread I'm thinking it might be my slave cylinder. The truck is ocassionally hard to shift into first and reverse, and always makes a clicking sound when shifting in and out of gear. The oil level is never low, and the clutch fluid has only been low one time in the two years I've owned this truck.

Any ideas on which fluid is leaking?

That pic looks pretty messy as in a lot of oil:eek:

You really should see the clutch fluid level drop if there is a leak. You could add dye to the oil or tranny and trace the leak that way.

Or replace the clutch/slave and throw in some new engine and tranny seals while you are down there.

You can take a white paper towel and put some of what ever is leaking on it and try to identify it by color/viscosity.
