I have reserched the slip-yoke issue here and have noticed that the "clunk" happens at stop or just before 1mph or so. But my X is doing it at 7-3mph range I'm hope it is the slip-yoke and not the other option (trans :shoot: ) The X is a 91 eb with 97,200 on it, the trans was pulled by the dealer at around 92,000 for a seal and they said everything else looked good (previous owner record-from ford dealer). I will lube slip yoke anyway since I have no Idea when it was done last... if ever. But do you think this sounds like the slip-yoke
Thanks

Well it is definately a place to start. Is the truck shifting into 2nd gear at the point it does it? Are you slowing down when it does it? Alittle more info would help us pinpoint places to look. Start with the slip yokes first though, then see if it continues.

Yes it happens when slowing down... but not all the time

check your U-joints yet?
