Well I finally got my Snow meth/water kit.

I should start the install this weekend, and tune for it during the week.

On the left is the Safeinjection that will reduce boost if the system fails or when the juice reaches a low level in the reservoir. Also has a cool little LED that mounts inside the car so you know if something is wrong.

And on the right is the Boost Cooler Stage-2 MAF kit with the upgraded 7-qt Reservoir, kit comes with a 2-qt.

I found a nice spot to locate the 7-qt reservoir by the top left firewall.

I will start the testing with the 375 nozzle and have the spray turn on at 2.9 MAF volts and 100% full spray at 5v.

I also have on the way 2 cases of Boost Juice from Snow Performance that contains water meth.

My current inlet temps reach as high as 180 degrees on HOT days and average about 170. At nights I average about 150 degrees. If the system does what's promised I should hopefully see about a 30% drop in inlet temps. I'm the ideal candidate with a roots blower.

If I can see 120/105degrees day/night inlet temps that will be phenomenal. My night driving compared to my day driving is a dramatic difference... the extra timing from the lower inlet temps makes a huge difference...

That's with the water.

Then the meth is said to raise your octane level from 92 to about 116.

So in the end it should run like I have an aggressive tune with race fuel.... I can only hope for.

Looks good. What is the total cost for one of these systems? I have been thinking about this - although, also thinking about a small nitrous shot instead! THis would be nice however, as you could run much more frequently vs the Nitrous.

Be careful not to overtighten the fittings into the solenoid inlet and outlet. Strips and cracks easily.

Yeah should be a nice kick!!!

I paid right around $590 with the upgraded reservoir, solinoid and safeinjection.

Sure will thanks!!!

Wouldnt a system like this also benefit an NA motor? Since most motors like cooler denser air I would think it would help, but I guess for 600 bucks, money would be better spent elsewhere.

Not as dramatic as an SC setup but it will let you run a more aggressive tune and run like you were using race fuel.

The kits will work well with a N/A diesel, but not so much with a N/A gas engine. If you had a n/a with a high compression it would work great. But if you're mostly stock, it wouldn't be worth the money. The added octane level boost won't give you power in a n/a, but on a forced induction engine it allows you to run more boost safely and run a more aggressive tune with added timing. There's a few L guys who have done the mod, and seen a 20-30 rwhp gain, and keep in mind that the engine already has an awesome intercooler. I bought the kit and was going to put it on my explorer, but changed my mind and sold it shortly after. The stage 2 kit starts at $400, and gaining 30 rwhp for that much is more than worth it if you are s/c.

awdrocks, where are you planning on putting the pump at? I've seen some put it inside the the fender and it cut back on noise and protects it from the elements.

I'm interested to see how the Snow kit works for you. I've been thinking of building a water injection kit to run on my Super Duty but I've been hearing mixed things about how much performance this setup really ads.

Why pics no worky?

Sorry for the delay I have not logged in a while. Well I finally used it... and with NO tune.... nice kick in the pants. butt-o-meter says it's a winner.

Ill take a pic and show you the install. I basically moved the servo thats on the passanger firewall side to the drivers side and put the big tank there, and the pump right under the tank.

Im going to do an aggressive tune for the track. I already tried the nitro methane also and bigger kick... love it so far. GET THE SAFEINJECTION!!!
