Snowbash for Northeast/Midatlantic?

1. get that free carfax report.

2. "History of 2 accidents"... "backed into pedestrian"? DAMN!

3. needs a paint job

4. "removable sun roof".. aftermarket unit, they usually leak after a while.

5. manual tranny. (not that anything is wrong with that just that its cheaper then a auto)

all in all it seems that the asking price is in the ball park of what it should be....

yup definatly do a car fax =D i guess in new york hiting a pedestrian is normal...

Well, pedistrians are pretty mushy, a lot softer than another vehicle, so as long as it's cleaned up it shouldn't be a problem. Paint job, well, I just call it "trail damage ready" I won't be as nervous to add more scratches as opposed if it looked as clean as Lindsey's. If the roof leaks, I guess some liquid nails should help, it just won't be as remeovable as before.
Yeah, I guess the price is close to right. All the Explorers like this I look for are always in better shape (scatch and dent wise) and useally automatic. It's just the perfect truck that I've been searching for, but never find.

Darren, yeah, it's pretty normal. As a pedistrian you hate all drivers, as a driver you hate all pedistrians. And after I park 80 blocks away from where I need to be I get to be a pedistrian walking to my destination. There's just a whole lot of hating going on.

LMAO....My mom wants to know if the pedestrian is still stuck to the truck.....

Looks like a good deal for the $$, Matt >getting insanely jealous because the best she can do is a 91 black and tan Eb with a frightening amount of rust<

It seems like even the wrecked explorers go for 3-5 grand :(

Does the 4wd system even work anymore?

'Normal to 4X4 LOW can be done while driving but 4X4 HIGH requires a full stop first'

Umm... if he's been doing that for the 5 years, that could be a problem. I know I shift to low range going down the high way all the time, just for kicks.

Well he's Greek, like from Greese (duh)(I'm not like a Xenophobe, he's just not orginally from here from how his emails are worded, and he's a Dr.) so I think he just got a bit dyslexic and swapped "hi" for "low" in his description.

I wanted to go wheeling for 9\11 but the rat had other things to do. :) Its all for the best i guess i like REALLY need new ball joints and shocks so id better take care of those before i go out again.

I REALLY REALLY need new brake pads...anybody got any suggestions for ceramic/brake dust free/not gonna break the bank pads and where I could find them???

Matt, that's >ahem< "Greece"

LOL...and you work at a college! ;) :D (grabs dictionary to look up 'Xenophobe'.....)

WOO Hoo! It looks awsome!!! well, it's pretty basic right now, but I'm glad its back.

Lindsey, this damn browser doesn't have spell check, and I'm not good at doing it on my own.

Wow! Some words and a picture! That must've been a lot of work. This all coming from the guy who can't get anybody to do his club's website... :D

Matt, if it runs well and the 4x4 works, buy it.

ummm.. dude... the site went back online via my hosting company @ 11:30pm... so thats all I could get up in a matter of 15 min....

I tried to make a webpage a long time ago, back when I had my green Explorer. It took me days to build it. Guess what it had?

Some words and a picture. :o

id say if your buying an X for strickly wheelin why not buy a 1st gen? an get em for 1/4 of that price and the lift is more effective and plus youll have all that extra money to put into it right off the bat... ya know?

In this region its hard to find a 1st gen that isnt completely covered with rust under it. If you do find one, the price will probably be close to the one hes looking at.

If your gutting the front for a SFA, go for it...Has Chris finished his yet?

That's just it, most of the 1st gen's I've looked at around here have over 100K, have rust, and go for 4500-5000 anyway, if you are lucky enough to find one with a stick. This is newer, with fewer miles. Well, I'm leaving here in about 30 min to go check it out, I'll keep ya'll posted.

 It's BACK!

Matt, Justin showed me that a few days ago, it sounds all right, even if the 4x4 doesn't work right, you want to go Manual T-case any way:D If he was trying to switch to 4low while moving, the computer won't allow it anyway, one of the few advantages of electronic 4x4. Good Luck!
(ps Spas, the answer to you previous question is YES! :( :us: )

Hey Lizzard, do those tires and wheels look familiar? They should. He says he bought them off a guy in Jersey who's name was chris who had a 98 lifted. When I mentioned Lizzard Trac, he said that rang a bell. He says they're 31s, but when I look on www.4lo.com and put in the metric measurements (285/75 R16) they come out to 32.8 (can I round that up and call them 33s, or are they more like 32s?). So yeah, everything looks great on it, and it runs well too. He wants to get rid of it b/c his private denitsrty has taken off and he wants a Jag to match his new lifestyle and he just wants to unload it for a down payment. Anybody else have any comments?

32.8 = 33's. Some 33's are actually smaller than that.
