ahhhh clarkkent. you dont wanna make the drive to ocotillo? i dont even know if we are going there though. no one has given a specific vote exept me and dave, which is ocotillio. more people need to give definate answers.

BTW: im jealous of the cage and towers. im curious to where you are having your work done at. rear towers are next on my list......

I would say your best bet is to throw it inside the cargo area, unless you want to put it on the roof for the weekend. If you put your rear seats down you should be able to fit everything you need with the tire back there. Then when you get out there you can throw everything in your tent and keep the tire inside. I'm not sure because I have a 4 door and a lot more room with the rear seats down.

I will throw in my vote for ocotillo, there is a little of everything there. Anyone know what the weather (like high/low) for that area is this time of year?

I would say very high 60s during the day is perfect, a little cool at night but overall very nice for off roading. Ocotillo keeps sounding better!

well i've got sooo many projects going on with the merc i havent really decided whos gonna do my work. i have my truck needing a new paint job with the addition of my rear fiberglass fenders, my supercharger is sitting on my desk as a paperweight, i have half of a 2500 watt system with tv's and some resi' shocks sitting in my garage. ahh.. i also got this new job so i should be done with my truck by end of summer hopefully.

ughh.. i dont think i'd make the oco trip, i promised myself that i wouldnt take my truck farther then pismo until i bought a trailer to tow her home.

haha yeah i went out to Oco with my truck right after i long traveled it and the fuel pump quit. my pops came out with a friends flat bed and got me. after that i sed i would never go w/o a flat bed. ive probably DRIVEN out about 7 or 8 times since then . shows how smart i am haha

Trent-as far as the fullsize spare goes, FROADER is right, it won't fit underneath where the original spare went, i've tried that, a 33 sticks out like a sore thumb, when i go on trips i take the subs out and strap the spare down in the cargo area...
As far as location i like the going fast and jumping aspects of pismo thats why i vote to go there but if the concensus is for Oco then so be it, i'm down for whatever just make sure we get the exact dates planned soon so i (and others) can take it off of work

well thats what i was waiting for, someone to give me their preference. that weekend is good for me. if anyone can go that weekend, let me know in this thread. if not post when you prefer. but should we plan on the 7th and 8th?

i vote for Ocotillo, just cuz i know the area. ive nevr been to Pismo, but i would be down to go if anyone wants to chime in on what its like. how does it compare?

cum on arvin ill tow ya home! good to finally hear from you it sounds like youve been super busy, but no i didnt get the coilover kit just the 6.0 with 2.5 shocks and deavers, works really well though

I'll probably be stopping by Oco New Years weekend. I've go some friends staying out there and it's only 20-30 min from Truck Haven.
