Sorry in advance if this is the wrong forum.
I purchased my 2000 XLS a few months ago. After fooling around with 4W Low I noticed a "clunk" when it is engaged so I assumed this was the differentials locking. I guess I was wrong...
It dumped some snow last weekend so I thought I would go out and try it out in 4WD. Needless to say I was super bummed when I got stuck in very little snow. No problem I thought, I'll just put it in 4 Low! Well I was pretty suprised to find only 1 wheel turning on each axle ( of course the one that was slipping ).
Is this normal? I just assumed that the diffs would lock. Can anyone give me any info on this?
Thanks!
