SOHC engine swap

I was given an offer to buy SOHC engine 2002 Probably qiute new. FORD changed this engine in one of the explorers. there is a sticker saying" SERVICE ENGINE 97JM 6006 AA". Does anyone know what does it mean ???

the 97JM 6006 AA almost looks like a part # may be a reman engine.

the only main difference in the SOHC engine is whether its intended for a 4*4 or not, if it is it has another timing chain to run a balance shaft. I dont know why they think they need one in the 4 * 4 and not the rear wheel drive? Can someone explain that to me?
Anyway perhaps the "AA" is a clue as AA & CA can indicate balance shaft ie Kit 2U3Z-6D256-CA is for (balance shaft engines)
and AB & DA is for 2 wheel drive!
