I was just wondering how do you guys keep your cars clean.
It seems like no matter what I do there is always dirt marks, swirls, streaks, and who knows what else you can find on my freshly cleanded car. :fire:

I was just wondering what type of products do you guys use to clean your Explorers and Monties.

I would like any good tips that you guys found that works great for cleaning your cars, both IN/OUT.

Thanks.

The rain cleans mine and I live in Southern California, so it doen't get cleaned very often. :)

My Audi on the other hand, I use Meguire's Quick Detailer between washes to keep it looking good.

Put a good hard coat of wax on it..

for my interior I like it clean as most probably do. For that i take all the rubber mats out and the carpet floor mats spray down the rubber ones then vacume the carpet mats and use a little stain remover for mud stain or coke stain. The rest I vacume and then stain cleaner. If i am really into it ill take the center consol apart and scrub it down inside and out. Also a helpful hint is be sure to look under the seats you trend to be a few buck richer afterwords. The outside of my truck gets to muddy to keep clean.

get car wash once a month..lol...clean up daughters juice and food when I can... ANd I live in Queens NY..i see new scratches and marks every day... BASTIDS!!!!!
so if you leave it dirty it hides it all.

I get a full service car wash followed by my own cleaning pass. Inside I use hot water and terry cloth towel to clean it well then you can coat with whatever you want. This is great for getting off old Armor All and other things you use to coat dash and other parts. Its best if you put that stuff down on a clean dash and not layer it on. The hot water Is fine on cloth seats and pics up stuff you never saw...lol. The hot water is also Great for stains and juice any think a 2 1/2 year old can deposit. For the outside I just leave it as washed by carwash (hotwax and undercarriage). This summer for the swirls and minor scratches, I will use a compound and buff them out. I have carpet shampoo that works great ..First I use that old faithfull hot towel to clean carpet and get out what I can. I then Vacuum up excess water. Then comes that shampoo in a can. Just foam it up with a brush and then wipe with clean damn cloth and let it air dry with no mats on it. Do mats seperately and leave them in back in or dry them in large dryer.

Well that helps a lot I know that my explorer is not a show car, it is a SUV AWD, o and dont get me wrong i use that AWD when i want to. But you know sometimes you just want to cruise around town and have your car looking nice.

I wash it with Armor All car wash and a mitt. Dry it with a California Wiper and towel the small parts. Scrub Westley's Bleach White on the tires and Armor All them. Mother's Paste Wax With Cleaner for wax. Mother's Back To Black on the gray and black trim (the stuff is actually white and okay to use on gray).
If you got the microscopic scratches then use a swirl remover before you wax.
Tar remover and wheel cleaners, I think they're all the same.

ive been using rain-x wash/wax. its got the little wax beads in it, works suprisingly well...of course, in the spring (especially in the south where im from) the pollen just takes over in a matter of hours, so cleaning is essentially useless

CLEAN 'EM??!! You're supposed to clean 'em????

I use Blue Corral wash and wax to wash it,about every 2 weeks.Mquiers cleaner/wax bout every 2 months.
Inside gets a vacuming once a month and interior stuff dusted and armoralled bout every 3 with waxing.
