well guys no problems here.. atleast i hope.. but first off with my trans it was rebuilt sometime not to long ago and it dont slip but it shifts hard as hell when cruising and also whines 1-2-3 is that normal?

now on to my rear diff.. i have the 3.73 ford craption lock in the rear it works great when i dont need it to.. if its wet and i goose it a little it will bust a 360 on me but if im 4 wheeling it will spin 2 then one will stop and u can here the clutches slipping .. this is so annoying because i got stuck in a ditch today thanks to that crap.. my thought is just change the fluid since it has like 400k on it :)

The valve body can usually be adjusted for shift firmness ie line pressures.
I have a similar whine and have been told by a few shops(including family that are mechanics) that would be the pump going bad or is misaligned...

Changing fluid should help depending on how burnt up it is... MAKE SURE YOU ADD FRICTION MODIFIER OR IT WILL BURN UP.

I'm no certified mechanic (more shade tree)but I hope this helps. I hate to see any unanswered thread if I may have some info..

Yes, limited slip rears require a friction modifier additive, unless you use a synthetic oil that doesn't require a modifier but it already sounds like the clutches are shot.

I mEan it locks in good an all but I think it could be tighter I'm junior ase certified mech so im not a complete idiot but I'm used to the gm ratcheting lockers not LSD the one las we have I learned the less friction modifier u add the tighter the clutches are but idk about the ford traction lock
