Had this vehicle for a couple years now and never knew what this rubber flap/thing was, found just sitting under the back seat. It’s about 20” long I guess.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Random thing added by prior owner? Is the clip that holds the tire removal tool broken? Wondering if prior owner put the removal tool in that to keep it from rattling around.

Kinda looks the plastic cover that goes over the radiator that covers the coolant overflow hose. Mine is also in the back seat from when I removed it when I replaced a leaking radiator and the original clips that held it on broke.

Kind of looks like one of the seals/gap fillers from the top or bottom of the radiator.
We were typing at the same time!

Thanks, all! It's not the rubber flap on top of the radiator—I've still got that piece in place (and it's got more of a Z profile), but it might be a similar piece that goes along the bottom. I'll take a look sometime... appreciate it.

(Was kind of hoping that this flap was somehow related to the fact that I get a lot of wind noise from drivers front door, despite replacing the entire rubber weather-seal and making sure the inner door cavity is taped up soundly, with no leaks.)

If the door strike bushing is missing you will get wind noise.

It’s not the lower door flap? I thought there was a flap like that on the doors, but I might be thinking of my Subaru.
