Someone got in my truck help please.

I got off work last night and I noticed my glove box was opem and the door adjar light was on. Well after inspecting the truck I realized that the back glass was open. The problem is and has been since I first got it that rear glass button sticks out and you cant lock it. I have push it in, put the key in and turned it etc etc. Its just like its broken. Does anyone have any idea how something like this would be repaired?

Press the power lock button in the rear or on your remote and see if you can hear the lock actuator in the hatch. If you don't then the actuator is shot. If you can and it doesn't lock, check to see if the rivet that holds it in is missing. You will have to remove the interior trim panels to get to it.

The tailgate locks down fine its just the back glass wont lock.

The button is supposed to stick out. Sounds like your lock actuator is broke.
