So the original motor went last week at 208k, got a newer one with only 40k, motor is clean as can be, put it in had trouble getting it running, now it runs and drives, however.........it has a fairly erratic idle and when i give it about 1/2 throttle the check engine light blinks and my speedometer needle bounces along with the blink, we hooked it up to a computer and it read that the left bank was running lean, i thought maybe it was a dirty injector since the motor sat in storage for a few months, but now im not so sure, any ideas?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? thanks you guys are always here for me!

what is the code you pulled?

left bank reading lean means very little without the actual code to help pinpoint what the computer is finding at fault

Has it always had this irratic idle since you got it running? or did it ever run properly with this new engine?

the code was P0174 i believe and it has gone between a normal idle and erratic, when we first got it running it had no idle, we changed a few sensors and it would run great at first then once it was warmed up the erratic idle would start.

i was just doing a little research and noticed that the main cause for the P0174 is a dirty MAF sensor and found it interesting that i took the time and cleaned my K&N filter while the motor was out and i may have over oiled it causing it to dirty my MAF sensor, tomorrow ill take the time and clean it out, but if you guys think it could possibly be anything else please let me know!
