Something that mechanics cannot figure out.

was the maf a ford unit because if it was not then chances are that the iat sensor was not built into it. What engine do you have. i would clean/replace the fuel pump relay. also try seafoaming your engine

My girlfriend's Honda CRV was doing the same thing. At a stop, it wasn't that bad, but when she would step on the gas after a stop, it would stutter like not enough gas was getting to the cylinders. After bringing it to the dealership to redeem the warranty, they said it was a burnt or damaged cylinder head. After fixing it, the problem is gone.

I think that I have on of the problms resolved. The vibration when I press the accelerator to the floor on the highway went away after I engaged 4 wheel drive for a short time and then back to 2 wheel drive. I now have to figure out the sputter.

I hope my front transfer case is not going.

hey, i had the same problem read alot on here everyone was saying the egr valve was bad or the iacm well the engine was still running so i dindt mess with it........ my alternator went out on me while it was setting for 2 weeks in the cold while i was replacing that we could hear a hiss like something was loosing air around the engine , havent looked enough to figure out what exactly its called but near the firewall on the main block is a plug in that has a sensor on it it had rattled loose so i plugged it back in , the engine started to sound like it was gonna die then it picked back up running like a top saved my self about 500 bucks id guess cause a mechanic woulndt admit that was the only problem in an engine.......check engine light went away and shes been running fine for 4 days look to see if maybes yours came rattled loose

viper1314, was it the the PCV? Thats a cheap fix and easy.

I checked all of the fuses and relays under the hood and all seem to be ok. The relay for the fuel pump felt alot warmer than the others. is this normal?

Toaday my O/D light started flashing and the tranny started to slip when shifting from 1st to second. I never seem to get a break! The light goes off after a restart and only comes on after it slips a few times. The fluid level is fine. Hmmm?

i don't think it is notmal but i am not sure swap it with another one if that fixes it then you just need a new relay
