sometimes....its a leaky water pump
I have been slowly getting warmer on my a/c....so I bought a recharge kit...
but before I could use it...my temp gauge PEGGED and I over heated...actually, I ran OUT of water. I let it cool and then I filled it back up - and it was pouring out of the water pump.
I had to drive home 20 miles. when I got there and it cooled, I found I lost 1 gallon in 20 miles.
evidentally I had been running low for a little while and then it just let go
so my mobile mechanic will replace it for $170 total. Not a bad price at all...pump, thermostat and coolant...
