Sometimes the tranny shifts slow

After the x warms up, the x shifts slow from 1st to 2nd gear but not everytime.
Tranny fluid level is fine.

It's a 1999, 39,000 miles on vehicle, 12,000 on tranny fluid

hope its nuthin bad, mine can do that also every so often I have a 98 with 46k

cross ur fingers - hope its not a tranny showin signs of goin bad.

Isn't there a TSB or Recall for that? Something about OD not disengaging, or is that a slow 2-3 shift?

Well, mileage and age of fluid don't appear to be issues. I'd check again after warm-up to ensure the fluid level is good.

Also, you may want to disconnect the battery for a couple of hours to reset the computer. That could help.

I did disconnect the battery for 8 hours.

Ford may have an update the the PCM for a slow shift (look on www.alldata.com ) or you may benifit from a shift kit or an apten chip to reprogram your transmission.
