ok my friend has an amp he is willing to sell me for 40$ if i can get it to work the problem is , is that every time he hooked it up the little led for over current would light up and it wouldnt do anything. so my question is what does over current actually mean? what might cause it and is there a way to fix it? the amp is a sony xm-1502sx 760wmax and 380w rms.

dont buy that amp. i cant believe he is actually going to "sell" it to you

If its not getting enogh volts it could do that. I wouldnt buy a sony personally.

Well off-hand I'd say it's f'd up in some way, protection circuitry could be messed up or somethin - keep savin your pennies for a little bit better of an amp :)

lol ok i didnt really need it anyway since i have a rockford but just figured i would see whats up with it.

stay away from sony wether it works or not
