Spare Tire Rod Missing

I just got a 1998 explorer and it is missing the rod that lowers the Spare. There is a jack and the lug wrench part, but it is missing the other part.

Where, and for how much, can I get a replacement?

Can I get something else to do it. Screwdriver/tire iron...??

might look at a junk yard should find and X with one still left under the seat maybe

i thought mine was missing the rod too... look behind the passenger seats under the carpet. thats where mine was. check out the manual i think itll tell you where it is.

if you fold the seat forward pull up the little conpartment.

No, Its missing. I looked where its supposed to be. I just need to replace it.
