Speaker dimensions

Good evening, all.

So I am a new owner of a 2001 ST and good lord does the sound system need work. I am looking at a Pioneer single DIN and 4 speaker kit, and thanks to this site I know the steps to replace all the equipment in the truck.

My question is this: what dimensions will fit in this truck? The kit I'm looking at comes with a pair of 6"x9" and a pair 6.5". Will these fit correctly in the ST doors without modifications or extra parts? I've seen elsewhere that 6"x8" will fit without any issues...should I purchase all this separately or be good with the kit?

You want 6x8 or 5x7 speakers. The only other option without cutting is using plates with 5.25 speakers
