Anyone out there have the 3" spindle lift for their '96 newer Explorer, I have yet to see one and I'm looking into putting it on mine, wanted to see how it rides, handles, etc.

Looks good, I want mine to be a little bit higher in the front, yours looks pretty even. Do you tires rub a lot with the 15x10 wheels? I think I'm going to go with 15x8 so the tires don't stick out too much. Looks good, do you know if it's the same spindle kit for a four door X?

hey barry, didja still keep them Edelbrocks on all 4 corners were you just gonna change them out later? are the shocks that come with the kit far less superior than your edelbrocks? are you sure you can use your edelbrocks in such a dramatic increase of the ride hight? im riding on bilsteins now and would rather not have explorer pro comp shocks. i paid a lil over 250 for my bilsteins. i love them. what to do man?

I run bilstiens with my fabtech spindles. The ride is unbelievably good. The handling is about what you would expect of a lift truck, gotta take the turns nice and easy.

Im running American Eagle 15x8s on 31x10.50s and i rub at full lock left and right.

Stay tuned for pics of mine, they should be up late sunday night.

HUIDADDY
YOU CAN STILL KEEP YOUR BILSTEINS ON YOUR EXPLORER IF YOU USE THE SPINDLE LIFT BECAUSE IN THE FRONT THE SPINDLES KEEP EVERY THING AT THE STOCK GEOMERTY. AND IN THE BACK THE BILSTEINS WILL WORK ALSO.
I HAVE THE SPINDLE LIFT ON MY EXPLORER AND I HAVE STOCK LENGTH RANCHOS ON IT.

Really? I wouldn't think that 31's would rub. Do they rub a lot when you go into driveways and stuff? I was thinking of getting 32's when I get spindles.

I think the reason my tires rub is cause i got 15x8s. You might not rub with 15x7s.

It only rubs at full turn so its really easy to avoid. Ive already adjusted to driving it that way and ive only had the spindles on for 2 days.

Gotcha. I was going to get 15x8's also, but maybe I'll go with 15x7. Thanks for the info.

ExplorerGrl, the stock rims on an explorer are already a 15x7

I was wondering if that will fit the 4wd also and how much does it run?

Yeah, I know. Thanks. I was thinkin I wanted them to be a little wider though. I don't know, haven't decided yet. If they will rub I'll definitely stick with the 15x7, I don't want to do any cutting and I hate the sound when it rubs, it doesn't just hurt the truck it hurts me :)

Yeah the sounds it does make is pretty awful. But all it takes is a minor adjustment to your driving style and it wont do it anymore.

Check this link out to see some pictures of my X with the fabtech spindles installed.

the link isnt working man.

you should be able to run 33's on a 15x8 w/just spindles, even more so since your bars are already cranked...ya ya ya i know every explorer is different but i did say should..this is mine w/spindles and a torrsion twist riding high up front... http://explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98168 stock rims, but i also ran the same lift w/15x8 w/no rub EVER.
