spongy brakes help

well i replaced my front brake lines on my 93 explorer and now the brakes are really spongy and almost go all the way to the floor. I did bleed them but it does not seem to matter. am i missing something here due to the fact that is has anti lock brackes. is there something special you have to do????

when you replaced the lines did you let all the fluid run out of the master cylinder.... if you did you will probably either need to bleed the hell out of them or get the special tool for abs bleeding..... i dont know anything about the special tool except it exists because ive never needed ... i think you may have air in your abs pump.... which would be bad....air compresses and brake fluid does not...

It sounds like you didn't get all the air out.

Bleed the master cyl by cracking the line fittngs while a buddy pushes the pedal, then adjust and bled the rear,then the front.If you have RABS ,the mdule rarely goes bad and probably isnt the prob.If you replaced the calipers,make sure the bleeders are toward the top
