spooky ghost in 02 explorer?

Posting for a female friend who just called me, so not sure how exact I can describe problem LOL but here goes.

02 XLT Explorer, 4.0 4wd, 4dr, 145k miles

driving down interstate, warning beep was beeping (like if you were low on gas, etc), but NO warning lights came on or were flashing on the dash. she said she verified that the parking brake was fully released, it was.

moments later, the doors started unlocking and locking, about 3 times. then went away.

haha, good thought actually. but, she only has one keyfob and it is on the key in the ignition, never leaves it.

Check to see if the rear hatch window is open.every time you hit a bump it will chime. i have had this happen a few times.

BINGO!

lift glass wasn't shut all the way.

Maybe...

Just maybe dayco is the ghost... once the hatch is shut, the doors will lock too... your female friend will be stuck inside! I say it's a ghost :smoke:
