Sport trac 4X4 not working any ideas?

No luck with the ground, nothing happend. I put a flat head screw driver into the shift motor where it connects to the t case and tryed to shift the motor by itself and I could not get it to budge, should this be easy to move or is it normal that it wouldn't move from that? The shift motor was replaced not long ago and was rebuilt from auto zone I'm starting to wonder of they sold me a bad part

I never tried that but if you could turn it, I wouldn't think that it could hold the transfer case in position. It looks like what you were originally told is correct, that the 4x4 module is bad.
Someone else may know if you can turn the shift motor.
