At least, I assume that's where it's from. Last time I heard this noise it was the idler pulley bearing going bad. I replaced that. Still squeaks sometimes. Replaced the tensioner pulley. Still squeaks. When I remove the belt all bearings feel good and it only squeaks very rarely.
So, I still think it's from the serpentine area but it doesn't squeak at idle and I only notice it once in a while when I'm driving around. Haven't yet managed to catch it squeaking while parked.
Question is, what items in the serpentine system can I eliminate as the cause? I am wondering if it's bearings in my alternator but I can't disassemble it far enough to pull the seals off and check/lube them.
