Strange squeak from front of truck

Alright, now that we know what it is, what u joints should I buy?

Greasable or non-greasable? Any specific brand? Do I need to replace the bolts?

My Chilton's book says to torque the driveline to transfer case bolts to 12 - 16 ft lbs. That seems a little low, is that right? Do I need to use blue threadlocker on the bolts?

Greaseable.....I got the cheapest ones from advance auto, but then again I have a 2wd so I don't require a heavy duty u-joint. The parts counter guy was kinda ticked when I declined the hd joints.

I'd say for a 4x4 I'd use a hd joint.

Woo Whoo! New U joints are in and the thunks and squeaks are gone! The bearings were gone in two of the caps on the far rear u joint. Just dirt and rust. I'm lucky it didn't let go before we fixed it.
