I have a 2003 Explorer, 4.0L V6, with a/c and about 150k miles.

About 2-3 weeks a go I noticed a squeaking coming from the engine when idling. It was probably also squeaking while driving, but can't hear it from inside the car.

2 days ago I noticed a small loss of power while driving. Not a lot, but enough to be noticeable, but I was still able to accelerate and keep up with traffic.

Yesterday I noticed that in addition to the loss of power, the idle has dropped to about 750 rpm. Normal idle was about 900 rpm. When coming to a stop, it almost feels like it may stall out. Also, the squeaking noise has stopped.

Any ideas on what could be the bad part?

Thanks for your help!
